A summary for those who have also said yes to too many things and need a nap:

I went to a VeggieTales Drag show and it was so much fun and so healing, I wish you could have been there! I also touch on beginning to heal from religious trauma.

I hadn’t been to a drag show before. As an AuDHDer who is overwhelmed by loud noises and lots of visual stimuli, any “events” that I go to usually involve books, crafts, coffee, and maybe if I’m feeling super adventurous, food. But once the loud music and crowds are involved, I get pickier.

I am happy to report I made an exception when my best friend sent me the details for a VeggieTales drag show.

Because y’all, I do like to waltz with potatoes. And tell me, what is more queer and neurodivergent than singing vegetables? That was not the brainchild of a neurotypical person. Just saying.
